I have a 1.5 psp, and version 0.35 of psp radio. I have set up a static ip address (i set automatic for everything, noted down the resulting information, then copied it into manual), and downloaded a playlist from shoutcast. The internet connection is working fine, and I copied the playlist file into the folder playlists. I then loaded up psp radio on my psp, and everything was working fine. Then I tried to play the shoutcast playlist. it came up with the messgae: error opening stream, and it says unable to open stream in the log file. None of the playlists that came with the release are working either- they get the same message. I really hope I'm making some newbie mistake, as I really want this to work! Could somebody please help me, as I am unable to find any guides for the most recent version. Thanks in a advance.

Try using an ip address that is not in the dhcp scope on your router. if it is a linksys try 192.168.1.20

If that does not work can you post the text from the log file.

my router is a netgear, im pretty sure. im using the ip adress at the moment 192.168.0.5 I tryed using psp radio v 0.32 beta, and modifying the playlists like it said in the guide, but it still wouldn't work! when trying to connect to my station, it simply stayed on ready, and said (opening) after the file name. the light was flashing and everything, but no music. Any ideas? Thanks.

i think with v 0.35final, the problem is something im doing wrong with my playlists. i think with v 0.32 beta its something wrong with my connection. Anything with 192.168.1.something fails the test, while anything with 192.168.0.something completes the test, but then cant be used with psp radio. I dont really care which version I get working! the error log of 0.32 beta has nothing aprt from

Hi,

Try using this playlist. It's the one I use when testing my code. It works for me, so it should also work for you. If it doesn't there is some else wrong. But try using this playlist first.

Code:

[playlist]
File1=http://64.236.34.4:80/stream/1024
Title1=D I G I T A L L Y - I M P O R T E D - EuroDance channel! (US Ultravox)
Length1=-1
File1=http://64.236.34.97:80/stream/1003
Title1=(#1 - 478/24032) D I G I T A L L Y - I M P O R T E D - European Trance, Techno, Hi-NRG... we can't define it!
Length1=-1
numberofentries=2
Version=2

If it doesn't work, then copy the file pspradio.log from the PSPRadio directory to this thread. Maybe it'll tell us something.

I am now 95% sure i have set up a correct static ip address. on version 0.32, i still cannot load my playlist- the screen freezes on

Starting Decoding Thread Starting Play Thread

Stream: http://64.62.161.77:800 (Opening)
PLAY

Ready IP: 192.168.0.52

There's still nothing odd in the log. Ill try it with your playlist, then with the new version. Thanks for the help, i really hope this works.

version 0.32 cannot open that file- says its not supported yet. For version 0.35, i just copy and paste that code into plv2.pls, right?

http://pspradio.sourceforge.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=70

have a look in this thread it talks about what to do.

Some thing else you may have been forgeting when using v35 you need to go to the config screen after the app is running (Use the Triangle button) and turn on the network from there.. then the outstart in the config can be set to 0

I use this method because i have 5 networks defined and i can pick wich to connect to this way
