Hi,

Currently trying to set up pspradio on my psp. I have 2.0 and am using fanjita's eboot loader of course. I have the newest version of pspradio, i use the wifi trick when loading up, and all i see is X-XXXXXX--XXXX when the eboot menu comes up!

I had this same issue a few hours ago, but then it just mysteriously worked one time. Even once i was in the program i got stuck on the blue screen.

Any help would be great.

Hi,

I haven't loaded up the latest beta of PSPRadio on my 2.0 yet but I know a couple of other people have got it to work successfully.

So I am probably not going to be much help.

But I can tell you with the 0.37 -pre 9 release on my 1.5, I had some strange things happening at start-up until I deleted the TextUI.cfg file from the TextUI folder.

You might try this.

But if you have got it to work once, it probably is a case of keep trying what you think is the right method.

I can't see anything wrong in what you are doing but my guess is that Halfast will be along shortly to ask for more details about how you are getting the program to start.

My usual help is available in this forum at
http://pspradio.sourceforge.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=201

Perhaps you could also check through these steps.

Regards,

albadross

thanks for the reply albadross.

I've been trying to get this to work for a few hours last night and a few hours this afternoon when i woke up.

The only progress done today was reinstalling the eboot loader on my psp aswell as pspradio.

Filenames of downloaded versions:
EBOOT_Loader_v 09.zip
PSPRadio0.37-pre8

I am still stuck at the eboot loader screen and all i see is the X-XXXXXXX--XX instead of PSPRadio like i did at some point last night. The problem is I have no idea how I managed to get it to work last night so I dont know where to start.

A few questions

1- Do you have to have a .pls in the playlist folder of PSPRadio?
- When I made a playlist I only had the IP of my server inside of it.
(http://myipadress:8000) Is that a problem?
2- Do you have to have a few local mp3's on your psp?

I know downgrading to 1.5 would sovle all my problems but for the time being I want to stay 2.0 as long as possible without downgrading.

To Funny Laughing but i guess your geting to know me HAHA

if you can grab pre9 http://ftp.berlios.de/pub/pspradio/pre_releases/PSPRadio0.37-pre9.zip

if fix's a few of the problems of not having files or playlists

if you want a default you couls use this

Code:

[playlist]
File1=http://212.71.8.6:8766
Title1=16KHz
Length1=-1
File2=http://69.28.128.148:80/stream/vruk_vc_lo
Title2=22KHz
Length2=-1
File3=http://70.27.70.92:8000
Title3=24KHz
Length3=-1
File4=http://64.202.98.133:2300
Title4=32KHz
Length45=-1
File5=http://69.44.157.142:8000/
Title5=160kbps stream
Length5=-1
NumberOfEntries=5
Version=2

pre 9 wont crash when no mp3 files are present.

X-XXXXXXX--XX

I assume you see this on the loader menu? That would lead me to belive that the eboot loader is not reading the name from the eboot for PSPRadio corectly.

Umm..

Do you have a 2nd mem stick say like the 32 meg that cam with the PSP I was going to sujjest start with a fresh format of the mem stick then reinstall the eboot loader on the memstick test and make sure it loads..

Adter that then copy the PSPradion to the memstick, use the obovve play list as a test and copy at lest one song in the music directory..

Let me know if you can do this or if you can not.. then we will take the next steps..

the eboot loader can be finicky at times..

Another questin what are you using for you wifiloader pic and have you set that correctly as your background pic

Of course everything PSPRadion related will only kick in is you can load it to begin with.. so lets see if this is a PSPRadion or eboot loder issue..

Keep us posted and we will see how we can help enjoy...

hi,

sorry it took a while to reply, but i finally decided to downgrade to 1.5 from 2.0.

I succesfully (thank the lord) downgraded and am now using the brilliant .37 final version. I can connect to other shoutcast servers but whenever i try to connect to my own, it waits and then it times out.

I have 2 mp3's on my memory stick, a playlist with the address to my own server. other people can connect to my server no problem.
