Hey guys! LOVE PSPRadio. Spreading word amongst all people I find with PSPs to get it.

I started up my own little shoutcast network on my computer. And can listen to it from other computers, and when I'm at work and such, but for some reason it wont let me listen to it.

What I've been doing is taking the db.xml, and changing (ie):

http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-station.pls?id=4698&filename=playlist.pls

in one of the links, to:

http://192.168.0.2/tunein-station.pls

the file exists, and it has the proper setup as far as I can see listed at just about all sites I have visted, but when I click play on it in PSPR, it looks for a second, flashes play, and then plays the next cast instead :p

Is it possible to just input the actual feed source somewhere?
ie: 192.168.0.2:8000, rather than have it in a .pls which it doesnt seem to like.

Any input welcome.

Ron

so I've replaced the .PLS on my webserver with one from a real shoucast network.

this is the actual link on my computer:
http://vg.servegame.com/tunein-station.pls

you can run it and see that it works (provided my computer is on, almost always)

just trying to get PSPR to play it is driving me nuts.
I presumed all I needed to change was the link in one of the DB's with the one to my server. Didn't work (for me atleast). Only difference is that one is hosted by shoutcast.com, and also the ?#etc extension on the link in the DB.

Its 3:30am, Imma give up for a whlie and rest.

Help would greatly be appreciated. Ron

The SHOUTcast xml file is not meant to be messed with. You can create your own playlists (v1 or v2 .pls files) and put them under the Playlist directory, then access it via the playlist screen (press triangle to get to it).

Also, 192.168.XX.XX is an internal IP address, you won't be able to access it from outside your LAN unless you set up the router to forward the port you have shoutcast running on to this ip. (Then connect from outside using your external IP address).

Raf.

OK, now I see that you're IP is set up right. Just put the .pls file in the Playlists directory of PSPRadio.

Raf.

PS: This .pls file (the one you have at your url)
Code:

Thx dude. I didn't expect the playlist files to be able to use the net in the playlist mode. I just presumed that was for MP3 playlists only or what not.

I am on internal network, so I am using 192.168.etc
and works perfectly with:

[playlist]
numberofentries=1
File1=http://192.168.0.2:7000
Title1=Ron's Shit
Length1=-1
version=2

in the playlist section, rather than as a shoutcast stream (db.xml)

and tested it with vg.servegame.com:7000
works too

thx for the help

Ron
