Hi,

PSPTris version 0.6 has been released. This is a stand alone Tetris clone for the PSP. The plan is to have it running as a plugin for PSPRadio. But it will also be released as a stand alone version, for those having 2.x firmware, which can't use the dynamic version of PSPRadio.

This version has been updated from the 0.5 version with the following fixes and features.

Version 0.6 (07th of May 2006)
--------------------------------
Fixes:
- The keyhandling are more responsive (quicker) in the game.
- The blockhandling has been rewritten, so rotation etc. should work correct now.
- Better handling when entering highscores (it automatically selects next position after having entered a character).
- Updated the danzeff OSK so that it doesn't need the transperant images. This saves 1 MB of system memory. (the transperancy still works).
- Mute the music while the game is paused.
- Update the bricks so that there are more differences in the colors.

Features:
- New gametype has been added (matching colors).
- Game instructions added to the menu.
- A line counter has been added to the classic game.
- Exploding effect added when removing lines/balls.
- Sounds effects has been added to the game.

Br, Sandberg.

The game can be downloaded from:

Hi Sanberg, Kudos on the Great ntetris game, I was wondering though is there any way for the user to put their own music in it? Tetris is nice(music) but after a couple hours it can feel like torture. Any chance that you could add the two other original soundtracks or a new Re-Mixed theme song. I will go and find a remixed version for you. Cheers to ur great work!!!!
Cheers to you and Raf, without you two, I would've updated long ago!!!

Yep. I've already made this for the next release. I just didn't have time for testing it properly with different modules, so I didn't release it this time.

I might, but there are copyright problems in using the original music Smile .. So I have to find some music which isn't exactly the same, but close enough for people to recognize it. If you find something interesting, please let me know.

Yes, in the plugin version, it'll just play what ever music or radio station you had playing in PSPRadio, when starting the game.

Looks good and game play is smoother.

A few caviots.

Under FW 2.0 (always glitches right)

it craped out on the music after a few attempsts to exit the game

the L+R+Menu would not exit and the home key also failed to exit.

(Eboot related im sure)

Aside from that it playes real goods both games

I di notice a bit of flicker on the screen from time to time

this would happen no matter what screen i was one..

Don't blame it on the Eboot loader this time Smile For the plugin version, I have absolutely no code yet to handle the exit, so everything is just left hanging.

I've also seen this, but I haven't looked into why this happens. It doesn't bother me enough to figure out what goes wrong Smile
